The Yugoslav Survey is a public publishing establishment, which was founded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. From an editorial office in the framework of the Yugoslavia Publishing House, established in 1956, it turned into an independent enterprise first and into a public agency later on. It changed its founders, status and position frequently, just like the majority of other media in the former Yugoslav federation.
Its first edition was the (Yugoslav) Survey magazine, which is still its main one and carries the name of Survey – Republic of Serbia now. It has been published also in English since 1960. Besides the mentioned magazine, the Yugoslav Survey has also published a large number of titles in a wide variety of areas.
In the awareness of our clients’ needs, as well as technological trends, the Survey has developed several on-line databases, which in terms of contents, concept and technology, constitute a unique offer on the Serbian market.
A quarterly published in English since 1960. (It used to be published in Serbian in printed form from 1957 to 2002 as Jugoslovenski pregled, and from 2003 to June 2006 as Pregled - SCG).
The analyses and reviews are based on the official statistics and other reliable sources. Because of the widest possible variety of its topics, factographic and documentary character of texts and standards up to which they are prepared and presented, this magazine is also regarded as the country’s current encyclopaedia and a reliable and often quoted source of data on the country. It is used by businessmen, diplomats, consultants, journalists, EU, IMF and IBRD analysts and specialists on the former Yugoslavia and the Balkans from more than 150 universities and institutes of the world, non-governmental organisations…

Ratification process of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement began
On 14 June 2010 the Council of the European Union agreed to begin the ratification process of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the Republic of Serbia, stating that Serbia has applied for receiving the EU candidate status. Some of the countries have already begun the ratification process, and it is expected that in the next two years the rest of the EU member countries will follow suit.
The Agreement was signed on 29 April 2008 in Luxembourg. On 1 February 2009 Serbia began with the unilateral implementation of its economic section, the so-called Interim Trade Agreement, due to the opposition by some member countries to the full implementation of the Agreement, claiming insufficient cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. One year later, on 1 February 2010, on the basis of the positive report by the Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz and the proposal of the European Commission dated 8 December 2009, the full implementation of the Agreeement began.
